Attorney Christine M. Hanisco is a senior associate with The Stein Law Firm PLLC in Concord, New Hampshire. Her practice has a special focus on assisted reproductive technology law (ART law). Attorney Hanisco knows from experience the stress and heartache of infertility and passionately works with her clients, who like her are among the 1 in 6 couples experiencing fertility issues. She utilizes her legal experience and decades of negotiation skills to help her clients achieve their dream of being parents.
An attorney since 2000, Attorney Hanisco’s legal career actually began in 1992 as one of the first mediator’s in the New Hampshire Department of Justice’s Consumer Protection Bureau. Before joining Stein Law, she spent over 11 years with the New Hampshire Public Defender’s Office, where she represented indigent criminal defendants and juveniles facing prosecution. Attorney Hanisco’s legal experience also includes representation of adults and children with disabilities, and prosecuting child abuse and neglect cases.
Originally from Connecticut, Attorney Hanisco first came to New Hampshire in 1989 as a Politics/Pre-Law student at Saint Anselm College in Manchester. She graduated cum laude in 1993. In 1997 she enrolled full-time at New York Law School in New York City, where she was a 3-year recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. While at NYLS she was an Executive Articles Editor of the New York Law School Journal of Human Rights and the recipient of several honors and awards. After graduating cum laude in May 2000, she clerked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Juvenile Court Department.
Having overcome her infertility battle, Attorney Hanisco is the proud mom of twin fraternal boys and an active member of her local mothers of multiples group, which provides outreach to parents and expectant parents of multiples in New Hampshire, including being a past Executive Board Member. Owing much gratitude to the advocacy, education and support efforts of RESOLVE New England, the region’s most invaluable resource for the infertility community, Attorney Hanisco is an active family member and professional member, volunteering her time at their events, presenting on panels, and as a member of its Board of Directors since 2017. She has always valued community service and gives back in many ways to her profession and community.
Attorney Hanisco is licensed to practice law in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
